Two part review; Jacklyn (lip flip, forehead botox, lip filler) Background on my face, I have very thin lips and one side of my face (eye/eyebrow area) was damaged which left my features a little off centre. Goal: Have some lips, lessen lines on my forehead and achieve a more balanced appearance. Jacklyn at the consultation was informative and very easy to talk to. She shows all the steps needed, which products to achieve the desired results and above all else, makes you feel a million times better about your choices. Treatment: started with a lip flip, definitely brought more of my upper lip out but wanted more. Went back for lip filler, numbing cream almost numbed the majority of the discomfort but the results made it worth it. I felt so much better about my appearance. I finally felt pretty (sorry if that sounds cocky). After the Botox in my forehead & eye area my face looked way more balanced and now I’m obsessed! Going back for more. I really appreciate that Jacklyn is kind, informative and knowledgeable. Which is the main reason I will continue to see her. Sheridan (laser hair removal Brazilian & armpits) The Brazilian area can be extremely uncomfortable especially when you have to hold your crevices open so the machine can get it all! Sheridan never made me feel uncomfortable or awkward. Very professional but also great to converse with. Which helps! The results have been great. My armpit hair was almost completely gone after the first session. Brazilian definitely took 2 sessions before I could really see the results but so far thrilled! I highly recommend doing laser on areas you don’t want hair and Sheridan is the perfect professional person to go see. Thank you so much for always being so patient, kind and respectful. This is my very first review but a well deserved one and so I had to acknowledge and show my gratitude for Mara who I have known for over 3 years. Mara has just been one of the sweetest most heart warming person that I’ve met. I can say with 100% confidence that I trust her fully not only in her ability but I also know that she always has MY best interests in mind. She is so meticulous and focused on giving me optimal results each and every time and no question is ever left unanswered. It wasn’t until I met Mara that I’ve been able to achieve incredible results in dealing with my melasma. In the past, I had tried multiple creams, RX, microneedling and nothing really worked. Mara told me about a treatment specifically targeted towards individuals dealing with melasma. Since I had tried so many other options before, I didn’t think twice. To say that it’s been over a year since the treatment and the melasma has literally cleared so much. My skin is brighter and I no longer have to cover anything up. Now I try to maintain and always wear sunscreen. I’m glad for my results, overall treatments and for Mara who has helped me and always makes me feel safe and at ease. Thank you Mara for all you do, you are amazing!

I am so happy I discovered this gem! The place is lovely and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. Jacklyn is very knowledgeable and is excellent at what she does. She is patient and caring and puts you completely at ease. I also had a hydra facial by Sheridan and my skin was happy for days!

Had many treatments with Jacklyn, and was such a great experience. Her knowledge, expertise and honesty made me feel extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend her. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

I have regularly seeing Jacklyn for a couple of years now, despite moving to San Diego last year. Yes, she’s that GOOD! Not only is she talented, educated and meticulous in her practice, she is also someone who I know I can trust and she will never upsell me just to make a sale or lead me astray and make me look like I have had “too much done”to my face. She’s not afraid to say no or no for now which I respect- she looks at the long term not just a quick fix to please the client right now. My skin has never looked better, my lips are full and plump but don’t look ducky or plastic (trust me, I see A LOT of that in SoCal!) and she’s so detail oriented with neurotoxins. She listened to me when I felt like Botox was wearing off my forehead too fast (I’ve been treating that area for over a decade) and introduced me to Xeomin which I have been so much happier with. She also explained to me why I like to treat my eyes with Dysport over Botox- it has to do with the molecule size and how it spreads. (I still love Botox for my lip flip though!) Lastly, the clinic itself is modern, clean and beautiful and is located on the waterfront and always has parking close by. I have not seen any other nurses at her practice, but I have friends who have and are very pleased with the level of professionalism and have had gorgeous results. The standards are high at Distinct and that’s what keeps me coming back!
